RMIT Library Re-design
The client, RMIT University, have requested that user testing be conducted as part of their Library UX upgrade project. By doing so current needs, behaviours and preferences of library users can be identified. This can help identify any pain point or areas of improvement so that the library as a resource can be further upgraded to improve overall user experiences.
Through our research it can be asserted that the RMIT university website is functional, but there is room for improvement when it comes to increasing the usability of the library. Recommendations that could be concluded from the research are that users would prefer ideally to get everything they require from one complete source. The reliance on secondary platforms to support the library are unnecessary and obstruct their progression of a task. By providing further tools and materials to make the library self sufficient would be a way to increase the usability of the archive.
